8 Fun Employee Assessment Tools For Your Office

employee getting evaluation

Some of the best employee assessment tools are free quizzes found online.

Have you ever found yourself filling out those ridiculous surveys on Facebook? So I must admit, they are kind of my “guilty pleasure” and I am willing to bet that they are for you too! One quiz alone (What City Should You Actually Live In?), created by Buzzfeed, has been taken more than 18 million times! Listening to the radio on my way to work this morning I heard that the Facebook application alone is used on average 45 minutes every single day — that is a lot of time. Personally I was ashamed thinking about my own Facebook use.

After thinking about it longer, I realized that it is just the world we are living in. We are constantly evolving and changing. That doesn’t mean our communication is something to be ashamed of — it means it is changing. Your employee assessment tools need to change too! Remember those “ridiculous” surveys I mentioned earlier, use them to your benefit.

It may seem far fetched or a stretch but if you think about it, incorporating some of the same concepts may have some merit:

  1. They are more fun.

  2. Your employees are more likely to complete them.

  3. They will enjoy knowing the answers immediately.

  4. Managers can easily share them with staff.

Your employee assessment tools do not need to benefit just your hiring and evaluation process. Allow your employee assessment tools to build bonds and engage your employees. Here are 8 surveys that will allow you to learn a little more about your employees; and your employees can learn a little bit more about one another.
